Microsoft Defender is Now Available on iPhone, and Android

Windows has long been the exclusive platform for Microsoft’s proprietary antivirus programme Windows Defender, but that is going to change starting today. The Microsoft Defender software, which is another name for Windows Defender, has just been released for all popular operating systems, including macOS, iOS, and Android.

Once you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can download the app on any of these platforms. In addition to offering online phishing attack defence, Microsoft Defender will operate with the device’s built-in or third-party antivirus. This software is intended to serve as a one-stop shop for all of your security requirements.

Along with giving security alerts, the app will display the security standing of your other Microsoft Defender-installed devices. This is how it seems.

Microsoft Defender will offer malware screening for both newly downloaded and installed apps on Android. Additionally, it will make desktop-style web protection possible. Since it only offers web protection, the iOS version is probably the weakest, but at least it will let you know how secure other devices are and alert you if they have been compromised.

As was already indicated, a Microsoft 365 membership is required to download Microsoft Defender for free.
